Introduction
ARX Automatic is a hybrid software and hardware platform designed to help local businesses generate more Google reviews through NFC-powered customer interactions. The platform combines physical review cards with a web-based management system, creating a frictionless experience for both business owners and their customers.
Challenge
Many local businesses rely heavily on online reviews but struggle to consistently collect them from customers. Traditional approaches such as requesting reviews verbally, sharing links manually, or displaying QR codes often result in low participation rates. The challenge was to reduce friction in the review collection process while providing businesses with a simple system to activate, manage, and deploy review cards at scale.
Solution
I designed and developed a platform that connects NFC-enabled review cards to a centralized SaaS application. Businesses can onboard themselves, activate physical cards, configure review destinations, and manage their digital presence through a streamlined dashboard. Customers simply tap the card using their phone and are instantly redirected to the intended review destination, eliminating unnecessary steps in the review collection journey.
Outcome
The result is a scalable review generation system that bridges physical and digital customer interactions. ARX Automatic established the foundation for a productized business model combining recurring software capabilities with physical product distribution, while providing local businesses with a practical tool for improving their online reputation and customer engagement.
